Reaching utility lines, wiring, plumbing, or other equipment located beneath the floor requires convenient entry points. However, those same openings become serious vulnerabilities during floods or when dealing with sewer gases and hazardous fumes.

Standard floor access doors can't seal against water when levels rise or prevent toxic gases from seeping into occupied spaces above. Even worse, they buckle under the weight of water, vehicles, or heavy equipment.

The 24" x 36" ADC-AW-APS Floodtight/Gastight Floor Door – Acudor handles extreme conditions that would destroy ordinary access doors. Hydrostatically tested to hold 25 feet of water for 10 minutes, this aluminum floor door creates a watertight seal that keeps floods out and gases in.

Its diamond plate surface supports up to 1,560 pounds per square foot, so vehicles and equipment can roll right over it without damage.

• Corrosion-Resistant Hardware: Its type 316 stainless steel butt hinges, tamper-proof bolts, nuts, cam locks, and flush watertight handle stand up to moisture, chemicals, and harsh environments without rusting or seizing.
• Easy Operation With Safety Features: The automatic hold-open arm with red vinyl grip locks the door at 90 degrees, keeping it safely open when in use and providing users with full control when closing. Optional lift assist is available for larger sizes.
