42" x 42" Aluminum Fire Rated Floor Door
For commercial buildings, the installation of fire-rated access doors is a critical requirement. One fire-rated floor door that contractors should consider is our ADC-FR Aluminum Fire-Rated Floor Door. This door is UL-listed and features an automatic closing system, an intumescent fire-resistant coating, and a pan cover with a design ideal for accepting architectural flooring materials for concealed access.
The ADC-FR door has an aluminum coverreinforced for 150 psf (732kg/m2) live load, and an extruded aluminum frame with built-in anchor flange around the perimeter. Furthermore, the underside of the cover and the frame's interior surfaces both have intumescent fire coating. Completing this door assembly is a continuous heavy-duty type 316 stainless steel hinge and a pneumatic self-closing system. The self-closing system automatically closes the door in case of a fire when heat melts the UL-listed 165°F (74°C) fusible link.
When you purchase this ADC-FR, keep in mind that it is only for interior applications and must be free from moisture before installation.
