- Cover: Brake-formed hollow metal design incorporates 1" concealed fiberglass insulation for superior thermal and acoustic dampening. The cover features a 3" beaded, overlapping flange, fully welded at corners for strength, and is internally reinforced to withstand heavy loads (40 lbs./sq. ft. live load).
- Curb: The 12"-high curb with integrated cap flashing ensures a watertight seal. It includes 1" fiberboard insulation for improved thermal performance and a 3-½" mounting flange with pre-drilled 7/16" holes for streamlined installation.
- Gasket: An extruded EPDM rubber gasket permanently adhered to the cover creates a secure seal.
- Hinges: Heavy-duty pintle hinges with 3/8" Type 316 stainless steel hinge pins ensure smooth operation and superior corrosion resistance.
- Latch: Two latch options are available: A slam latch with exterior and interior turn handles and padlock hasps. The other is an enclosed two-point spring latch (Please contact Access Doors Canada to specify your preference).
- Lift-Assistance: Compression spring operators enclosed in telescopic tubes offer controlled opening. An automatic hold-open arm with grip handle release allows for ease of use.
- Finish: Industrial-grade alkyd-based red oxide primer provides a robust base for on-site topcoat application (not included).
- Hardware: Compression spring tubes: Aluminum-engineered composite for lightweight construction with steel compression springs packed in grease for long-lasting performance. Hinges: Type 316 Stainless steel for superior corrosion resistance. Other Hardware: Zinc-plated for added durability.
